In the "art history world" one must pay very close attention to the details. When analyzing a specific work or looking at an artist's work to try to get a handle on their style, one needs to take a few moments to just look. Take the time to closely observe, for this is all the artist is asking of the viewer. If one just takes the time to look, they will get much more that if they had "skimmed" it.
I created the Spotify playlist below to help you all focus in on a work. It is all instrumental jazz, because helps me focus on the works the best of all genres. Obviously it is ideal to be able to view a work in person, but most times it's not possible. I encourage you to listen to this playlist and notice what you find out.
