A mural in Manhattan was painted by Keith Haring. In 2007, the building that it was attached to was under demolition, and the wall was removed from the site by truck. Thankfully, it was transported to a warehouse in New Jersey, and later sold into a private collection.
This May the Smithsonian Museums in Washington D.C. will re-open in a staggered manner. The American Art Museum National Portrait Gallery, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture will open on Friday, May 14. These museums will also have Covid restrictions, but they will be opening up none-the-less.
The Pompidou Center in Paris, famous for it's early modern symbolism and it's constant need of repair, is once again closed for renovation. It is set to reopen after maintenance in 2023. Open since 1977, the Renzo Piano designed building is a modern art building, public library, and center for music and entertainment. Sadly, the beloved building is showing significant signs of age, including many of its components are beyond repair.

Announced a few months ago, the Princeton University Art Museum is doing a huge renovation. Sir David Adjaye (click on the name for a Zooming In and more information) will be the architect behind the renovation. Above and in the link are the recently released renderings for the plan. This museum has been renovated a few times over the years, and this renovation is expected to open in 2024.
